Drivers Cutting Motoring Cost Due to Rising Premium Prices

The rising cost of fuel as well as car insurance is pushing the classic car insurance customers to cut down the motoring cost. From the last year, the costs of  fuel has jumped up to 20% whereas the insurance premium has increased to 30% .The rise in insurance premium is increasing the number of uninsured drivers on UK roads but the new CIE legislation has forced the motorists to buy insurance cover for their vehicle.

Along with it, the car servicing charges are also increasing by the rate of 5.4%, which results in reduction of car servicing by the car owners. The cars without servicing carry persistent mechanical problems, which can become large anytime and can result in sudden breakdown during any journey. The providers also refuse the claim of such carless car owner who does not maintain their car regularly. Despite of having car insurance cover, you will not be able to get the claim amount due to irresponsible behaviour towards the vehicle.

Further, the motoring tax has increased by 5.1% making it hard for the car owner to maintain a personal car. The cost of MOT tests done for checking the driving skills of the drivers has further increased to 1.9%. The driving tests enable the car owner to get good discount on car insurance but with growing inflation, it has become hard to grab any good deal.

The classic cars are more prone to theft and damage so need effective insurance cover to maintain the car. The classic car insurance owners know the value of their priced possession so prefer to buy a good deal to get proper protection. One can still keep a check on his classic car insurance cover by shopping around to get a cheap insurance deal.
