“Pride and Joy” Auction

Silverstone Auctions are hosting an auction at CarFest North on Sunday 9th September for the benefit of BBC Children in Need at which charity lots and classic cars will be on show.

Attendees will see a varied selection of charity lots, classic cars and motorbikes.

Tickets are still available at £60 each.

Classic cars will be available in a range of estimated prices.

Classic cars from less than £10,000 to over £100,000 are to be auctioned.So far there are over 15 cars that have been put into the auction at an estimated price of less than £10,000 making them accessible to may more attendees. There is an MG 1300 Saloon dating back to 1968 that is estimated to go for in the region of £3,000 to £5,000 and a Riley Elf from 1967 expected to fetch anywhere between £3,500 to £4,500.

A 1961 Triumph TR4 may go for anything from £24,000 to £28,000.

Other classic cars priced further up the scale include the likes of a 1968 E-Type Series 1.5 Jaguar Roadster that may fetch in the region of £52,000 to £58,000, a 1993 Lamborghini Diablo that could realise anywhere between £53,000 and £60,000 and a Ford GT from as recently as 2005 that may go for somewhere between £115,000 and £125,000.

If you are a football fan you may be interested in a charity entry for two tickets to watch the Liverpool vs Manchester United match on the 23rd September. Or, for the car enthusiast, how about a tour of the Aston Martin factory in Warwickshire.

Nick Whale who is the Managing Director of Silverstone Auctions, stated: “We hope to repeat the success that we enjoyed at CarFest South when we helped raise £60,000 for BBC Children in Need and all the signs bode well if the diversity of lots we have on offer is anything to go by.

“It really does promise to be a highlight of the auction year and what’s even better is that it’s in aid of a very worthy cause.”

Anybody who is unable to attend but would like to bid by telephone or via the Internet may do so by either leaving a commission bid or via i-Bidder.com.

The lots may be viewed on Saturday and up to 2pm on the Sunday after which the auction will take place.
