Classic Cars For Less Than $5,000

You are no doubt aware that the market for the sale of classic cars is very buoyant with records being broken on both sides of the Atlantic. However, for those with a little less in their bank account there are still some classic car deals to be had for less than $5,000. Obviously, for those classic car enthusiasts in the UK, you will have transportation costs but they are still worth considering.

Below are some examples: –

Alfa Romeo 1975 to 1991

Classic cars like the Alfa Romeo Spider can be bought for less than $5,000

Alfa Romeo Spider 1986

Whilst the Alfa may have a reputation for being a bit of a rust bucket this is a beautifully styled Italian masterpiece that actually have great difficulty in achieving as much as $5,000. It doesn’t help that, mechanically, they can cause a few problems with awful oil consumption and some gearbox problems.  There are some decent ones out their but try to get one that was manufactured after 1982 which is when they appeared with electronic fuel injection.

Plymouth Valiant Sedan 1960 to 1962

The Valiant has a reputation for being one of the first compact cars in America and one of the best. It is equipped with a Slant-6 engine, unibody construction and was styled by the well-known Virgil “Excess” Exner.

MGB 1975 TO 1980

A petite classic car to be seen in although it does not come that highly recommended by fans of the MG. With a distinct lack of horsepower with their bumpers made of rubber they don’t exactly power you from 0 to 62mph in under 10 seconds but you will feel good in one. Ideal for that drive around the countryside on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

So, get searching on the Internet as there is every possibility of you finding a real bargain. When you have, why not make a holiday of a trip to the United States of America to view a few classic car models.
