Race Retro Classic Car Sale Approaching

Those of you with a keen interest in classic cars may like to get along to Silverstone Auction’s The Race Retro Classic Car Sale that takes place from the 23rd to 25th February 2018. It promises to be a weekend to remember with some delightful classic vehicles coming up for sale that will no doubt appeal to a wide cross section of enthusiasts.

How about a 1983 Lamborghini Jalpa that is powered by an 8 cylinder 3,500 cc engine producing an impressive 255bhp and capable of reaching a top speed of 155mph. It is worth noting that only 419 of these vehicles were built with only 34 being right hand drive. This particular car is believed to be the first right hand drive produced for a UK purchaser. The car has had a number of owners latterly being in the possession of an enthusiast who had the vehicle restored. It has a mileage of 53,437 that is low for its age. It has an estimated sale price of between £65,000 to £75,000.

If you are an Alfa Romeo enthusiast then you may wish to cast your eyes over a left hand drive 1968 Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider that has a 4 cylinder 1,600 cc engine. The classic sports car has undergone a comprehensive restoration including having the engine rebuilt. In fact, there are invoices for in excess of £50,000 for works carried out. It has an estimated sale price of £30,000 to £35,000. Whoever ends up buying it will be sure to catch the attention of many a passer-by.

Porsche lovers will no doubt want to take a look at a right hand drive 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Supersport Targa that has a 6 cylinder 3,164cc engine. It is believed that not many of these classic sports cars were built. The vehicle has 91,000 miles on the clock and there are invoices showing that over £35,000 has been spent on the car for such things as MOTs and servicing. Its bodywork is in Iris Blue. It has an estimated sale price of between £47,000 to £52,000.

Ford enthusiasts may wish to look at a right hand drive 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth with a 4 cylinder 1,993cc engine. There are only 56,000 miles on the clock so it is very low mileage. The car has only been in the possession of 3 people and has been very well maintained. Its bodywork is in Moonstone Blue. It has an estimated sale price of between £32,000 to £36,000.
