A classic car owner has had a vintage Porsche stolen off his drive just a couple of days after it had arrived in the UK having been shipped over from the USA where he purchased it. In fact, it had only been on his drive for 8 hours before he heard the unmistakable roar of the engine as it was driven off at speed. Unfortunately, by the time Mr Bones got downstairs he could merely watch the car disappear out of sight.<\/p>\n

Have you seen this Porsche?<\/p><\/div>\n

Kris Bones lives in Dulwich in London and recently became the proud owner of a Porsche 911S that was manufactured back in 1977. The classic vehicle was in lovely condition having been well looked after by someone in the USA for many years and sold to Mr Bones by a dealer in Maryland.<\/p>\n

Apparently, the car is a one-of in terms of the design of the wheels and the way the engine has been built. It is believed to be very valuable although the owner would not say how much he had paid for the car.<\/p>\n

When the car arrived in the UK it was put into storage until Mr Bones took the vehicle to a car show on Sunday. He intended to put the car back into storage later that day.<\/p>\n

He obviously reported the theft to the police and no doubt they will do all that they can to try to recover the vehicle. Mr Bones has been most impressed by the response from people on social media and let us hope that someone spots the classic Porsche and it ends up back with the gentleman. The sooner that it can be found the better because, as a general rule, the longer that cars are missing for then the less likely they are of being discovered.<\/p>\n
