Why Do You Choose A Particular Classic Car Insurer?

With so many classic car insurance companies offering this type of insurance what is the reason or, for that matter, the reasons why you selected a particular company? After all, you have probably paid a lot of money for your vehicle or spent a considerable amount of time in restoring it so it is important that you are comfortable with your choice.

It probably does not come as a surprise to read that the major reason why people make such a decision is due to the price. Most people are looking for the cheapest classic car insurance that they can find – especially in the current financial climate.

is there more than one reason why you chose a classic car insurance provider?

Is price the leading reason why you choose a particular classic car insurance company?

However, should price be the be all and end all in your decision making process? We don’t believe it should.

Obviously, you will need to make sure that you have chosen the correct level of cover. That may be fully comprehensive, third party fire and theft, third party or laid-up cover. That is a major factor in your decision making process – perhaps more important than deciding which insurance company to take out the cover with as you need to ensure the cover meets your requirements.

There will be some people that have chosen an insurer based on the recommendation of someone who has been impressed with the level of service and that is an excellent reason to make such a decision.

Many companies provide optional extras such as breakdown cover and legal protection so these are factors that may be important to you.

The quality of the customer service provided by the classic car insurance provider may be important to you. Remember – cheapest isn’t always the best. What do they say: “You get what you pay for”.

This is probably particularly important should you have to make a claim on your policy. That is usually a stressful period and you need an insurer whose staff deal with your claim professionally, speedily, with care and consideration for what you are going through to ensure that the process is made as “painless” as possible. After all, that is what you are paying your premium for.

So, we have listed some of the reasons but feel free to make any further suggestions.
