Mathewsons To Auction Interesting Classic Vehicles

On Friday 29th July and Saturday 30th July 2022 Mathewsons are holding an auction of Classic Vehicles and Memotabilia. Full details can be found on the auctioneer’s website but we provide information about some of the lots below: –

If you are looking for a two-seater sports car then why not cast your eyes over a blue 1963 MG B sports car. It is said to have 59,487 miles on the clock making it very low mileage for its age. It has a soft top so will appeal to those classic car enthusiasts who enjoy having the roof down for the thrill of driving with a breeze sweeping through their hair. It has a 1798cc engine. It has an estimated sale price of between £6,000 to £7,000 so may appeal to someone with a modest budget.

For those with a larger budget but who also like the appeal of driving in the open air then why not take a look at a two -seater 1951 MG TD sports car that has an estimated sale price of between £16,000 to £18,000. It has a 1250cc engine. It looks beautiful both outside and inside and will catch the eye of passers-by.

If you are a fan of Jaguars then a red 1970 Jaguar Challenger XJ6 may appeal. It has an estimated sale price of between £15,000 to £17,000.  From the photographs it appears that this classic car has both a hard top and a soft top that presumably can be inter-changed but obviously this sis something that you should check yourself before considering making an offer.

Those of you who are interested in classic vans may like to check out a grey 1961 Austin A35 Van that has an estimated sale price of between £6,500 to £7,500. It has a 948cc engine. Apparently, the brakes need to be re-commissioned. From the pictures it appears to be in good condition but that is something that you will need to decide upon if you are considering making an offer.

If you are into restoring classic cars and fancy a bit of a challenge then why not peruse a green 1967 Morris Minor 1000 with a soft top. As can be seen from the photos it is in need of quite a lot of TLC but wouldn’t it be great if someone was able to devote the time and expertise to restore this vehicle to its former glory.
