If you are considering purchasing a classic car for the first time or are a seasoned classic car owner who is looking to add to his or her cherished collection then one of the many ways of finding a vehicle is through an auction of classic vehicles. One such auction is scheduled to take place by H & H Classics Ltd at the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, Derbyshire on the 29th April 2026 starting at mid-day. The vehicles coming up for auction can be found on the website of the auctioneers but we thought we would highlight just a few of the cars being offered for sale below.
How about a 1958 Jaguar XK150 3.4-Litre Drophead Coupe that comes with an estimated sale price of between £60,000 to £70,000 that probably means you will need a sizeable bank balance to be able to afford it. It is interesting to read that this classic open-topped sports car has been in the same family ownership going back to 1998. Some £35,000 was spent on the vehicle between the period 1998 to 2000. The car has also been on a variety of Jaguar club rallies. Its bodywork is in Cotswold Blue and it has a trim in Dark Blue. It also has a hood in Blue. Its current MOT runs until July 2026. This car will almost certainly catch the eye of many a passer by.
If you are a fan of the Ford Capri then why not take a look at a 1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands that has an estimated sale price of between £24,000 to £28,000. It is said to have only in the region of 20,000 miles on the clock making it an extremely low mileage for a classic car of its age. It is also quite a rare vehicle with only 1,036 manufactured but furthermore it is 1 of a mere 8 automatics built. It has an MOT until December 2026.
Still on the sports car front, why not take a look at a 1969 Triumph TR6 Rally Car that has an estimated sale price of between £15,000 to £18,000. A rally car specification conversion was carried out in 2019 to 2020. Since 2019, almost £40,000 was spent on the vehicle. Since then it has not been used a great deal. It came with a 2,498cc engine producing a top speed of 121 mph and was capable of getting from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 8.2 seconds.
If you are attracted to a more sedate driving experience then feel free to peruse a 1963 Morris Minor 1000 Convertible that comes with an estimated sale price of between £10,000 to £12,000. Its coachwork is in Clarendon Grey and it has a leather interior and hood in Red. It has a 1,098cc engine. It had been in the same ownership between 2006 to 2019 having believed to have had a total of nine owners. The current owner has had it since 2022.
