Reasonably Priced Classic Cars Sold At Auction

You will be pleased to read that you don’t have to be a millionaire to be able to afford to buy a classic car. This is borne out by the price some classic vehicles were sold for at a recent H and H classic car auction that took place online on the 4th December 2019.

For instance, a 1955 Wolseley 4/44 Saloon that had an estimated sale price of £1,800 to £2,200 was actually sold for £1,200. This vehicle has been in the same ownership for 17 years during which time it had been kept in dry storage.

A 1957 Austin A35 Saloon that had an estimated sale price of £4,000 to £5,000 was sold for £3,866.67. It has an MOT until July 2020. It is said to have had 5 owners. In the region of £2,500 has recently been spent on the vehicle. It is believed to have done less than 60,000 miles.

A 1968 MG C GT that had an estimated sale price of £8,000 to £10,000 was sold for £7,350. It is a 2 plus 2 seater lovely looking sports car that was refurbished back in the 1990s. It still has its original engine.

A 4 berth 1977 Volkswagen Type 2 Camper Van that had an estimated sale price of £6,000 to £7,000 was actually sold for £5,850. Its bodywork is in a pale blue with a white elevating roof. It has a rock n roll bed and is equipped with a sink, cooker and fridge.

A 1976 Triumph Stag that had an estimated sale price of £7,000 to £9,000 was sold for £10,125. This classic hard topped sports car has an MOT until July 2020. It has 84,000 miles on the clock. It is automatic and comes with a V8 3.0 litre engine. It has recently been subject to recommissioning.

A lovely looking dark blue 1968 MG C Roadster that had an estimated sale price of £17,000 to £20,000 was sold for £16,916.67. It has black leather seating. It was subject to a restoration in the 1990s. This classic sports car will no doubt catch the eye of many a passer by.

Yes, there are classic cars sold for £millions but, as you can see, there were many classic vehicles sold at the above auction for a reasonable price.
